COMSA EMTE is working with new technologies, especially in the field of smart cities. The Group is now promoting smart mobility projects focused on the construction of infrastructures and the integration of information systems in low emission public and private transport systems with a view to enhancing comfort, providing updated information on the state of the transport network, incorporating selective tolls and prioritizing access to parking areas.
With its aim of encouraging the use of the electric car, COMSA EMTE Aparcamientos and Despi Ingeniería have installed charging stations for this type of vehicle in the car park of the Universidad Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
EMTE Sistemas together with Tabasa and the UPC have developed a smart system for the high occupancy lane (VAO 3+) in the tunnels of Vallvidrera in order to encourage the shared use of vehicles and to reduce the traffic around large cities, thus facilitating mobility and reducing emissions and noise pollution.
Idneo, COMSA EMTE’s R+D+i company, is carrying out innovating projects in its laboratory in Viladecavalls (Barcelona) for various sectors. The company is aiming for smart solutions in the areas of energy, mobility and construction and offers turnkey solutions in engineering and technology, consultancy services and support in electronic, industrial design and technological integration projects.
