COMSA Renovables obtains international PEFC certification in biomass management

14/05/19 – COMSA Renovables has recently obtained the PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) international certificate of the Chain of Custody, which ensures the traceability of the biomass managed by the company.

Specifically, this forest certification system ensures that all the forest products that COMSA Renovables uses for energy use come from forests managed with environmental sustainability criteria.

To obtain this certificate, the company has implemented an internal chain of custody certification process and has extended the need for certification to all of its raw material and service providers.

For COMSA Renovables, this certification represents its commitment to sustainable management and opens up the possibility of accessing international markets and customers, which are increasingly demanding in terms of the practices carried out by companies in this area.
