Aviation sector
COMSA Industrial carries out turnkey projects for air navigation systems, such as radio aids (ILS, DME, DVOR) and radio equipment allowing communication between controllers and pilots.

Among the most recent strategic projects of COMSA Corporación’s engineering subsidiary is the installation of the ILS/DME at Gran Canaria Airport, the supply of radio equipment in several communications centres for the Ministry of Defence, or the renovation of the radio equipment in Espiñeiras, which Enaire has commissioned to improve the coverage and surveillance of flights in the north-west of Spain.

In addition to air navigation systems, COMSA Industrial also carries out all types of airport installations, some of which are as specific as passenger boarding bridges (PBB) and associated auxiliary systems (VDGS, GPU, PCA), and auxiliary handling equipment (BHS).
In the last 12 years, the company has installed close to 100 boarding bridges and auxiliary equipment at different airports in Spain, Mexico, Poland and Morocco.

In the Barcelona-El Prat Airport, the air conditioning in both terminals has also been improved and in the Majorca Airport, the pre-boarding energy plant has been modernised and the 52 air treatment units have been renewed.

Finally, at Seville Airport, the extension and reform of the power plant is being carried out, planned in different phases to minimise its effect on the operation of the airport.

More than 50 years of experience

COMSA Industrial’s airport business has more than 50 years of experience. At present, this department employs more than 80 people and in 2019 it had a turnover of 18 million euros.
