EMTE Service, award for occupational risk prevention

EMTE Service has won an award in the eleventh edition of the MC Mutual Antonio Baró Awards for its policy of occupational risk prevention (ORP). After receiving four second prizes in recent years, the company has been awarded the first prize this time to recognize its involvement in prevention and its commitment to the protection of its workers, which has resulted in a steady decline in accidents in recent years.

The EMTE Service Manager, Enric Farriol, was responsible for collecting the award at a ceremony held in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) on November 28, and which was chaired by the General Director for the Regulation of Social Security, Rafael Antonio Barberá, and the chairman of MC Mutual, Miguel Valls.

A mixed jury, made up of members of the trade unions CCOO and UGT and the employers’ association CEOE, was responsible for choosing the winners from over 300 nominations. Throughout the eleven editions of the Antonio Baró Awards, MC Mutual has granted a total of 57 awards and three honourable mentions and has honoured the preventive management of over 300 organizations.

The awards were established in 2001 by Mutual Cyclops in memory of Antonio Baró, who chaired the company for fourteen years and showed a special interest in the promotion of occupational risk prevention and improved working conditions in general.
