On 15th December, the magazine Actualidad Económica held the award ceremony in Barcelona for its Premios a la Iniciativa Empresarial. On this occasion, the magazine honoured Jorge Miarnau and Carles Sumarroca, President and Vice-President of COMSA EMTE, as best business people in Catalonia.
The Senior Managers of Group received the award for having created in 2009 “a model merger” between two family companies with complementary businesses, in an operation that permitted them to face the internationalization challenge with a greater guarantee of success.
The event counted on the presence of over 150 representatives of the Catalan business sector. The magazine also awarded companies such as CaixaBank, eyeOS and Lékué, the Zona Franca biomass power station in Barcelona, the Arenas shopping centre in Barcelona and the President of Catalana Occidente, José María Serra, for his business career.
